For wire coats only. The purpose of hand stripping is to manually pluck dead or loose outer hairs from the coat to promote new, healthy growth. This process mimics the natural process of hairs being pulled from the coat when traversing through underbrush. Hand stripping maintains a wire coated dogs natural coat texture, color, and harsh feel.
For pups who have been previously clipped or scissored it is possible, in some cases, to bring back the correct harsh texture. This will require several hand stripping sessions over the course of several months as the coat regrows.

For the past 6 years we have provided the community with a resource to have dogs groomed who present challenges in the grooming space. Our grooming manager Kalen specializes and is certified in senior and difficult/aggressive dogs.
We have the resources, staffing, and tools to (in most cases) allow for a safe and successful groom for both the dog and the staff. Multiple staff may be required when working on a single dog to allow the grooming process, at all steps, to be completed safely.
In the event we feel a dog will or is becoming a danger to itself, or a bite occurs, we will refer that client to their veterinarian for sedated grooms.
